Ezekiel Emanuel’s “Logan’s Run” Remake
Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, a guy who is always telling everyone what to think, says he hopes he does not live past 75. And because of this, he thinks you shouldn’t want to either. And I think this makes a great movie premise!
It’s the Logan’s Run remake we’ve all been waiting for, only this time people get to live until 75! And for those who do not willingly enter the Carousel (the government-run extermination facility) to ‘renew’, they’re forced into “running”, using walkers, the Hurry Cane, speeding away in their Rascal Scooters, golf carts, etc. And the Sandmen, chasing them on Segways, get protested when they try to terminate a runner. Or, wait: Ezekiel Emanuel is a liberal, so I guess the Sandmen won’t get protested. No wait; they will be protested: by conservatives who are pro-life and oppose euthanasia.
It’s the most excitement-filled euthanasia debate metaphor ever put on film, it’s Ezekiel Emanuel’s Logan’s Run 75: Coming soon to a theater near you!
Here’s the article from Ezekiel Emanuel, laying out his case for why he wants to enter the Carousel at 75 (and why you should, too!):
And this is Logan’s Run, for people who are unfamiliar with it:
