I like Morgan Freeman, but it’s almost weird to actually see
him in an ad. Usually he’s the voice and we don’t see him. We know it’s him,
but we don’t usually see him.
But this ad is different. It’s kind of like one of those
Korean Airlines ads, only with no sexy flight attendants, and the only
passengers on the plane are clones of Morgan Freeman.
It’s funny: Morgan Freeman says: “…Those of us who go out
there with a sense of wonder, breaching worlds, finding delight in our
differences…” But how can we find delight in our differences when every
passenger on the plane is another one of Morgan Freeman? They not only don’t
look like they’re different: they’re all the same, only in different clothes! (Actually, I guess maybe the
flight attendant is different, but we don’t see her face, so maybe she’s also
Morgan Freeman: who knows?)
Then the slogan says to extend our world, but I’m not sure how to do that when everyone in the world of the ad is a copy of the same guy.
