Turkish Airlines Morgan Freeman Super Bowl Ad

I like Morgan Freeman, but it’s almost weird to actually see him in an ad. Usually he’s the voice and we don’t see him. We know it’s him, but we don’t usually see him.

But this ad is different. It’s kind of like one of those Korean Airlines ads, only with no sexy flight attendants, and the only passengers on the plane are clones of Morgan Freeman.

It’s funny: Morgan Freeman says: “…Those of us who go out there with a sense of wonder, breaching worlds, finding delight in our differences…” But how can we find delight in our differences when every passenger on the plane is another one of Morgan Freeman? They not only don’t look like they’re different: they’re all the same, only in different clothes! (Actually, I guess maybe the flight attendant is different, but we don’t see her face, so maybe she’s also Morgan Freeman: who knows?)

Then the slogan says to extend our world, but I’m not sure how to do that when everyone in the world of the ad is a copy of the same guy.

Here’s the clone commercial:
