Today on the news, I heard that Russia has “joined the chorus” of nations opposing the launch of the new North Korean rocket. This is shocking! Russia is in the chorus? I thought surely Russia would be one of the stars of the show! I mean, I could see them being subjected to the ignominy of an audition (the nerve!), but just to be put in the chorus? (Oh, the shame of it!)
Well, after this, I can understand why Russia might tend to go against the grain on many world issues: they’re mad about being put in the chorus! And rightly so: with a long and rich tradition of ballet, opera, performing arts, gymnastics, skating, etc., Russia should always be cast as one of the leads!
