There’s a famous poster by Paul Rand that makes use of the
IBM logo in a fun way, where the “I” is picture of a human eye, the “B” is a
picture of a bumblebee, and the “M” is just an “M”. (I read that signed
original posters of this sold for thousands each in an auction recently.*) It’s
really cool! But this obviously wasn’t made by someone who had predominantly
negative experiences with IBM computers, or else it might have been the letter
“I” followed by a picture of a pile of human excrement. (That would work too,
for that literalization-of-letters-in-the-logo thing. Although it might not be
hailed as the masterpiece the original is, except perhaps by IBM-haters.)
