No matter who wins the election, someone will blame it on a debate performance. But with digital technology, these debate performance issues will be a thing of the past! You see, most people don’t bother watching the boring-ass debates, so they’ll believe whatever clips they see that purport to be from the debates. And with the honesty level of most political ads, that means they can lie all they want! And with the advent of digital CGI technology, effects people can make fake debates where whoever they want wins, and they say whatever polls the best with likely voters!
That’s right: I foresee a day in the near future, perhaps even during the next midterm elections, where political debates are made like 3D animated movies, and whoever writes the best fake debate script and pays enough for the most realistic phony debate video effects wins the election by selling the best fake clips to news services and Super PACs for ads. And once that happens, it won’t even matter which candidate is the better communicator, of whose positions are most desirable, because it will be whatever they want it to be. They could make their opponent cry, lie, say offensive stuff: the sky’s the limit! Hey: they already take quotes out of context and lie about their opponents positions, so the logical next step is just to fabricate video of their opponents saying stuff they never even said at all using CGI. And really, after the recent assault of this election coverage, isn’t being told what to think better than having to go through all that again?
