Twizzlers "Man of Steel" Superman Suit Ad

Hey, Superman's suit is made out of Twizzlers? Wow, when kids find out, they're going to rush Superman when he shows up and they're going to eat his costume off! (They might even perpetrate some faked kidnapping plot to draw Superman's intervention, and when he shows up: yum!) And if he tries to stop the little kids from eating his outfit, someone's going to catch it on their smartphone as a video, leak it to the news, and Superman will end up looking like he's beating up children, at which point he'll get thrown into some Kryptonite cage and shot up into space for all eternity, no doubt delighting General Zod to no end.

Well, that's what he gets for making his superhero suit out of candy, especially during an obesity epidemic! And I thought he was supposed to be a hero: oh, for shame! (Maybe he should make it out of vegetables to keep the kids from attacking him and eating his suit. Oh, but then he'll get attacked by vegans who will eat his suit off. Hmm, maybe this making superhero costumes out of food idea isn't such a good plan after all? {No-one ever said Superman was super-smart though... [Hey, could this be an evil plot devised by Lex Luthor and Twizzlers to defeat the Man of Steel? Maybe Lex Luthor owns Twizzlers?]})

But this Twizzlers "Man of Steel" tie-in ad is actually pretty clever with using the movie costume's texture to relate to Twizzlers. Most movie tie-in ads lately don't relate to the movie they're piggybacking onto nearly enough to warrant a tie-in (and are generally {and unfortunately} all instantly forgettable {and often quite insufferably annoying} as a result); this one (as well as the Gillette one asking how Superman shaves) does nicely to find a connection that works pretty well, considering the tenuous connection between Twizzlers and Superman, despite my smartassity. (The visual imagery really stays in your mind after you see this ad, and guess what they sell at the movie theater concession stands: Twizzlers...! So if people are inclined to want to snack on Twizzlers at the movies, you can't get much better of an ad for this type of market than this idea right here. Great job, guys! I'm making jokes about it in the first paragraph, but it's really quite well done.)

Here's the sweet suit spot:
