PBS is doing its pledge drive again now, and they have a vaguely threatening statement related to this years' fund drive in the pledge drive segment, which reads across the bottom of the screen: "Turn Pledge Drives into Phantoms". ("...Phantoms...?" {Yikes!})
Oh my God: PBS is threatening to have ghosts haunt us into donating to their pledge drive?
Yaaa! Spooky! Creepy! Chilling! And if you think that's scary, consider this: once they find out this works, they'll start sending ghosts and other phantoms of the night to haunt us until we cough up the amount they want us to pay (The horror; the horror...!); and then they'll make the ghosts (and perhaps even demons) haunt us into extorting the amount PBS feels they're owed by each and every one of us...! Pretty soon we'll need an exorcist just to get rid of The Pledge Drive from Beyond the Grave! (I guess necromancers must really like Masterpiece and Masterpiece Mystery! As well as ghosts, ghouls, zombies, etc.)
Plus, when ghosts haunt people into donating, PBS won't need to offer tote bags anymore, and then we'll have nothing to carry our stuff in anymore (!): It's utterly horrifying!
