If I hear another Republican say they want to “get our ‘fiscal house’ in order” again, I think I’m going to go on welfare just to punish them for being so uncreative with their nomenclature. Both parties seem unable or unwilling to do what’s necessary to fix things. Well, I have a suggestion: if they really want to get our ‘fiscal house’ in order, why don’t they hire some illegal immigrants to do it, just like everybody else does to get their actual house in order? They do a good job, and they’re less expensive, so it’s perfect for keeping government spending down. But of course the Republicans will reject such a plan, because they don’t want undocumented workers “taking American jobs”, and Democrats will reject it because they’re not in unions; they’d both rather have them all collecting welfare instead, I guess. It’s especially funny, since when politicians run for office, there always seems to be some scandal about them having an illegal immigrant housekeeper, so we already know that they’ve all done it before for their own houses. So what’s the difference this time? That people will know about it? We all found out about it last time too, and they all still got elected, so come on! And didn’t our government used to be able at least to lie and cover stuff up competently? When they can’t even do that right anymore, what’s the point of even having a budget? I mean, what are we paying taxes for anyway? Hey, it just seems like Democrats refuse to balance the budget, and Republicans can’t get it done either, and if we want it to get settled, somebody’s got to do it!
