Now that the Saw
movie franchise seems to have run its course, and the Hellraiser movies are all played out, why not revitalize both
franchises by combining them? You know, like with Frankenstein Meets
the Wolf Man, or more recently, Freddy
Vs. Jason. It would be really easy to do
with these two franchises, because it would pretty much make sense. Jigsaw, the
killer from Saw, was obsessed
with creating pain and suffering, just like the Cenobites (albeit for different
ends), so wouldn’t it follow that this devious brilliance may have earned him
the position of a Cenobite after death? And his character has died in the movie
series, so…
So here’s how this movie would work: Jigsaw has become a
Cenobite after death due to his brutality and sadism, and because he’s called
“Jigsaw”, whenever anyone solves a jigsaw puzzle (continuing with the
solving-a-puzzle thing from the Hellraiser
series), Jigsaw materializes with a few other Cenobites, and then they kill the
person who solved the jigsaw puzzle by dismembering them in the form of a
jigsaw puzzle. And they always take away one piece of the person, but
leave behind the one missing piece of the last victim, so the police always think
it’s some sophisticated serial killer who’s responsible. And, naturally, once the coroner gets all the pieces of a victim and puts the person back together again, it “solves” the “puzzle”, so Jigsaw and the Cenobites appear again, killing the coroner with some Jigsaw torture device, and so the bodies and coroner bodies pile up, until someone can stop the supernatural Jigsaw/Cenobite menace.
