Cell Phone Reception Chappaquiddick Ad?

With all the attention being paid to the JFK assassination’s 50th anniversary lately, I have to wonder if everyone will make as much of a fuss over the 50th anniversary of another Kennedy tragedy: Chappaquiddick. But while the news people might not want to delve into this episode again, this situation might make a good cell phone reception ad, with Ted driving the car into the water, trying to use his cell phone, but having no reception, he has to swim to another place, where then his cell phone is too wet to work anymore. Boy, if only he’d had (Whatever Cell Phone Network): with more bars in more places, you’ll save yourself a world of trouble (not to mention maybe a life or two, including your political life) when you sign up for America’s most reliable cellular network!

This is the Chappaquiddick incident, for those who aren’t familiar:

And here’s a National Lampoon joke ad on the same subject:

(BTW: Volkswagen sued over this joke ad, which is why I am leaving it up to your imagination which cell phone network has the best coverage.)
