It looks like the writers at How I Met Your Mother have taken my (joke) suggestion, or else thought of the same idea independently, and the CBS show How I Met Your Mother will indeed now seek a spinoff to tell the story from the mother’s perspective. And like I said, they ought to be able to get many more years out of this idea. But of course, I was only joking… (Not that her perspective isn’t important or interesting, but if you read my original post, it’s a bit different from what they’re planning to do.)
So life imitates art (or at least silly comedy writing) once again!
