In watching the Alabama-LSU
game tonight, I noticed for the first time the brand of that pole with the
number that shows what down it is that gets held by some line official: It’s “Dial-A-Down”.
Yes, Dial-A-Down is the number one pole thingy for showing what down it is in
football games! Use any other system, and everyone will forget, and you’ll have
to stop the game, with both teams forfeiting for a loss. Yes, use Dial-A-Down,
or your smile will frown! (Rhyming slogans are so memorable, aren’t they?)
Oh, and it’s made by
Tuf-Wear (!). Yes, Tuf-Wear, because football players don’t wear pansy-assed
stuff, and “Tuf” because they can’t always spell so good.
