My apartment complex has a below-ground parking garage underneath the buildings, and on the walls therein are posted signs all over the place that read: "Park At Your Own Risk". Now, I'm not exactly sure why they say that. It could be a liability issue, as in: "Not Responsible for Damage or Theft", but it doesn't actually say that on the signs; it's just the vague warning about it being a risky situation to park there.
So I don't know, maybe there's a troll who lives down there, or perhaps someone in the building is a werewolf who likes to stalk the parking structure on the nights of the full moon?
But whereas there is a strict law in California about advising apartment residents of the toxic and carcinogenic substances permeating the materials used to construct our residences, apparently there is no such stricture mandating a revelation of the specific nature of the threats implied within garage-oriented warning signs. Which is nice, because it permits such whimsical flights of fancy regarding the source of potential peril in the garage. And being an avid fan of horror movies, my mind reels at the possibilities.
