Southwest Airlines "Jack the Giant Slayer" Tie-In Ad?
Southwest Airlines is the airline that touts their no additional fees policy, and seeing as how there's a movie about giants coming out soon called Jack the Giant Slayer, why not tie it into their ads? After all, a giant in the original story of Jack and the Beanstalk is well-known to have spoken the immortal line: "Fee-fi-fo-fum, I smell the blood of an Englishman", right? So seeing as how this new movie is based in part on Jack and the Beanstalk, why not have a giant from this upcoming movie complain about airline fees, saying: "Fee-fly-no-fun, I want to fly without paying one!" And then they could show how even giants can fly Southwest Airlines without paying the fees that generally make them want to kill and eat humans. (It is a little-known fact that airline fees are what started the whole giants-eating-people thing. It's true!) Of course, giants will still have to contend with the cramped seating and paltry leg room in coach, but that's another issue.
