In this ad for Lexus, we see a bunch of people driving into
deadly accident situations, and then we see that they’re all just using a
driving simulator. Oh, but why are they all driving like this on a simulator?
Are they all trying to plan how they will kill themselves and others in an
intentional crash, or planning a fake crash for an insurance scam later? I
can’t imagine what else they’re doing in this situation. And Lexus is helping
them? Oh, for shame…!
Unless… Hey, you don’t suppose Lexus is trying to warn us
that buying a Lexus will get us into deadly crashes more than other brands of
car, do you? If so, they’ve obviously had to camouflage the message a bit by
throwing in the driving simulator, because otherwise, it would just make it
look like everyone who buys a Lexus will get into a fatal accident.
Maybe the slogan should be: “Lexus: Distracting drivers with
luxury.”
Here’s the suspicious spot:
