Last week, TCM featured 24 hours of Cary Grant movies for
their “Summer Under the Stars”, and one of the films they showed was: Every Girl Should Be Married. And in
this movie, Betsy Drake keeps calling a stuffed deer head Cary Grant displays
in his house a “moose head”. And near the end, Cary Grant says to Betsy Drake’s
friend: “And tell her that’s not a moose head.” And for an ad for Moosehead
beer, we could see that scene, with him pointing to the deer head and saying: “Tell
her that’s not a moose head”, and then he grabs a bottle of Moosehead beer and
says: “This is a Moosehead!”
(Other products use dead celebrities in ads, so why not
this? After all, Cary Grant was the apex of suave, so he must have drunk
Moosehead, right?)
