Coppertone Ramones Ad
There’s a TV spot for Coppertone that uses the Ramones song “Blitzkrieg Bop”. A lot of ads use that song, and it’s getting kind of tired from how it’s being overused. The Ramones have a lot of songs, you know. And using another one once in a while might be nice. Like, for example, I’d think the song “California Sun” might work better for a Coppertone ad. But hey, if they want to go with the Nazi war machine-inspired dance number instead, that’s their business. I’m always happy to hear the Ramones. (Great song, by the way, but is it the most appropriate reference for a tanning lotion commercial?)
