Geico “Saving Money” Ad (Joke/Proposed)

As we all know by now, Geico is running an ad campaign with a man who is literally made out of money. Then the announcer says you’re probably not made of money, so switch to Geico, yadda yadda. But their main slogan has to do with saving money, so I thought it might be fun to have an ad in this “made of money” campaign where Geico ‘saves’ money. So here’s how this spot might work:

The man who is literally made of money is riding around on his motorcycle when he decides to ride through a city to see the sights. But once riding through, some ruthless gang notices that money is flying off this guy, so they hatch a plot to kidnap him and use him like the goose that laid the golden egg: as their own personal money tree. And so they drive into his motorcycle with their big ‘70s Cadillac, or whatever a stereotype Mafia car would be for a TV commercial, and they abduct him in the guise of helping him.

Well, our heroic gecko smells a rat, and after hearing of the wrecked motorcycle, which belongs to a famous Geico customer, the gecko springs into action. And so, with the help of a crack Seal Team 6 type squad, Geico rushes off to “save money”. And so, finding the money guy (the gecko can smell money, being a mutant talking gecko, so he leads the team right to the hiding place), the gecko lured the gangsters out with the promise of saving them hundreds on their car insurance, while the crack commando squad bursts in and “saves money”, and just in time to prevent him from being flayed alive (the gang decided it was taking too long for him to shed significant amounts of money, so they were going to harvest him for the cash). And so, here we see a practical example of Geico saving money. And as they lead the bad guys away, and the man who is made of money is freed, everyone cheers, as money flies off the money guy into the air, and people catch it in their hands as they stand their clapping.

Here’s an example of the Geico “made of money” ads, for those of you who have been living under a rock (which is a reference to yet another Geico ad, by the way):
