Wow, this one is great! There was once a time, a few years ago, where Aflac had the duck, and everyone recognized the duck, but nobody seemed to know what Aflac actually did. Well, they have remedied that issue with ads like this, but this one is probably the best, using a scenario everyone knows and loves: Mafia movies. Great jokes, great ad: great job!

(You know, it just occurs to me that insurance companies are a lot like the mob: you have to pay them for “protection”, and when you need help, they don’t want to pay you. Hopefully Aflac is not like that; but if they are, then this ad could backfire, as good as it is, because it might make people think of this protection racket angle. But that wouldn’t be the ad’s fault.)
