John Kerry said the United States would not send soldiers into Iraq, but he did say he would help support the Iraqi government. And today, he kept his promise, sending a squad of cheerleaders over to root for the Iraqi government forces to defeat al Qaida-linked militants who have taken over Fallujah and Ramadi.
“We feel that once they see the cheerleaders doing their gymnastic routines and shaking their colorful pom-poms, the Iraqi forces will finally get the upper hand!” said Kerry on Tuesday, adding: “This is the winning strategy! And once they’ve won the day, we’ll dump some Gatorade on them from a Black Hawk helicopter.”
