I was watching an old video of a punk rock band that was
making waves when I was in elementary school, The Plasmatics’ “Butcher Baby”,
and in the video, the singer, Wendy O. Williams, uses a chainsaw to cut a live
electric guitar in half, and for the first time I saw that the saw she used was
a Toro. And so I thought it must be legitimate for them to make an ad out of
this, seeing as how she uses their product. And I figured the pitch would be:
“Do you have any guitars that need trimming? Toro is the only brand trusted
enough to do it for you!”
