Wow, I must say, it’s awfully socially conscious of Hyundai
to make a commercial addressing the controversial football head-injury issue,
but using little kids so we’ll be extra concerned, and then think about the problem
anew in light of the NFL concussion issues. And of course we know that’s what
they’re doing here, rather than selling cars, because they’re using the Quiet
Riot song “Metal Health”, which sings: “Bang your head!”, and implies mental
health issues in the song’s title.
Well, hooray for Hyundai: putting shining a light on pertinent
social issues ahead of profits for the betterment of mankind!
Oh, what? That’s not
what they’re doing here? Well, in that case, I must say that it’s awfully rude
of them to trivialize this very serious football head-injury issue, and especially
risking the health of children, those monsters!
Here’s the head-banging metal health issue ad:
(Of course I’m only joking, and it’s a cute ad. But surely someone must want to be offended by this
ad, so I’m merely showing them the way to their outrage-nirvana.)
BTW: I love the Mom’s face driving them all to the game. And
it’s especially nice to know that when they all get injured playing tackle
football without pads, at least she’s got a big SUV to drive them all to the hospital in.
Oh, and it might have been fun for the kid to be the son of
a pro football player and show up with the whole team, making the bullies drop
the ball and all run away. But I guess that would have to be an ad for a tour
bus. Does Hyundai make tour buses?
