In this rather fun spot for Xfinity, we see people watching
sports non-stop with Xfinity (on their tablets and smartphones while doing things) having all kinds of disasters and tragedies befall
them, which begs the question: isn’t this supposed to be an ad for Xfinity? Well, it doesn’t make it
look very healthy to have, to use, or even to allow Xfinity, now does it? I
think everyone will live a lot longer and healthier lives if they don’t get this service, at least based
on their own advertising.
I mean, it is
funny and everything, but I think it’s generally a bad idea to show your
product causing harm to befall customers using it, as well as causing others to
become disastrously negligent through its use. Maybe it’s just me, but this
looks more like an ad warning against
getting Xfinity, rather than an ad for
it.
But I’ll bet Michigan State rivals (especially Ohio State and
Stanford fans) will love this spot,
watching Michigan State fans getting injured or becoming negligent to a career-killing,
even criminal level from watching MSU football.
