Coca Cola used to use the slogan: “Coke adds life.” Now, used within the correct context, this could make great Halloween ads for Coke. For example, some punk rock teens could be partying in a cemetery (like in Return of the Living Dead), and they accidentally spill a 2-Liter bottle of Coke. Well, the Coke soaks into the ground, and it brings all the corpses back to life as zombies, who then claw their way through the ground to the surface, and they either chase the teens around, or else they party with them. Then the slogan is shown on the screen, and someone with a spooky voice says: “Coke adds life! Ha ha ha!” (<Evil laugh.)
Then, in another Coca Cola Halloween ad, Dr. Frankenstein is trying to bring his monster to life, but it’s not working. So he tries all the electrical equipment again, and then, out of frustration, he knocks over his bottle of Coke. Well, this splashes on the creature, and it comes to life (!). Then the little jingle at the end sings: “Coke adds life, Coca Cola adds, Life!” (That would be the same jingle as from the old campaign that used that slogan.)
Then, in another Halloween commercial for Coke, the Mummy is trying to bring his ancient mummified girlfriend (the Princess Ankhesenamun) to life with a spell, but it won’t work. So, tired, he drinks a Coke, and then he tries again, and it works! Then the slogan jingle plays (“Coke adds life, Coca Cola adds, life!”), but in a spooky-sounding version for Halloween.
