We probably all know by now about the alleged dying imaginary girlfriend of Notre Dame Linebacker Manti Te'o. We also know that this situation was partly the motivation behind the team's perfect season. (Well, perfect aside from a championship bowl game they barely lost. Okay, maybe they lost by a little more than that.) And does this remind anyone of anything? Think back now.
That's right: This is Notre Dame we're talking about here! And they're the "Win one for the Gipper" school football team, aren't they? So maybe this whole hoax was just to give them a new inspiring mantra: "Win one for the Gypper!" (Because by hoaxing him and/or us, she, or the perpetrators of this hoax, certainly are gyppers.)
