She-Ra, the female counterpart to He-Man, wields the ‘Sword
of Protection’. So then who better to represent an insurance company? She could
slay the Allstate ‘Mayhem’ guy, saving everyone from his fearsome wrath! And
she would protect all her company’s customers with her Sword of Protection (and
kill anyone who broke your stuff).
Maybe she could do ads for a health insurance company, so it
would make more visual sense when she was fighting Skeletor or Hordak, who both look like death
itself. So Skeletor or Hordak would try to kill health insurance clients, but She-Ra
would protect them from illness or injury! (Yea!)
Plus, when the She-Ra and He-Man cartoons were really
popular, our current 30-somethings were about the age to be watching it, so they would
all be very familiar with the characters. And they would probably be about the
right age to be in the market for lots of different insurance needs right about
now: car, home, life, health, etc. (It would make more sense than using the
Peanuts characters to shill for MetLife. Although the Peanuts are cute and
everything, they really didn’t have much to do with insurance-related issues,
did they?) I mean this more as a joke, but it really might work and resonate
with people; you never know. It certainly would make sense logically with the
good vs. evil and order vs. chaos thing, don’t you think?
This is She-Ra:
