Absente Vincent Van Gogh Ads
Absinthe is legal now, not that most people would notice. But one brand uses a self-portrait of Vincent Van Gogh as their marketing materials, because apparently he drank absinthe. But they don’t take this ad campaign to its logical conclusion by saying that drinking their stuff will make you cut off your own ear. And if you’re not going to do that, then what’s the point of drinking anything anyway? Anyone could harm themselves in countless other ways with regular liquor, so why should we want this particular stuff? They need to be specific here, or else we may drink ourselves under the table with whiskey instead (and with both our ears still attached, which is only for wimps!).
