Recently I suggested Serial Killer Cereal and its Cereal Killer mascot character, as an updated version of the now passé classic horror movie cereal characters like Count Chocula and Frankenberry. And nowadays, a haunted cereal like Boo Berry would really have to be based upon a demon character to be scary, changing the cereal to: "Delicious Demon Cereal: It's damnably tempting!" (Nobody's scared of movie ghosts anymore.) Oh, but now I think characters like these could be used for something even better: scaring kids away from sugary cereal!
So like I suggested before, the Serial Killer Cereal mascot, the Cereal Killer, would stalk and kill all the sugared cereal mascots, but this time it would be because sugared cereal is bad for you. And so rather than being an ad for Serial Killer Cereal, it would be a PSA for healthy food. And then, after the Cereal Killer has killed all the sugary cereal advertising mascots, we could cut to a scene of a camp counselor telling his charges around a campfire: "And they say the Cereal Killer can smell sugared cereal on whoever eats it, and once he finds them, they're a goner!"
And if this works, then the next ad would be about Candyman, the supernatural Clive Barker horror movie killer character, only in this PSA, he goes after people who eat candy (!). And so anytime a kid tries to eat a candy bar, the Candyman shows up and kills them. But the PSA says it's like diabetes or a high blood pressure or whatever, or at least, that's what the doctor will say... (Mwa ha ha!)
And of course the next one has to be about junk food, and to scare kids away from that, we'll see that anyone who eats junk food gets a visit from the Junk Food Junkie, who crashes at their house and will never leave, and who steals all their stuff to pawn for more junk food. (Yes, it's really addictive stuff!)
So, with all children scared away from sugared cereal, candy and junk food, everyone will be in prefect shape! (Unless the kids would take it as a dare to eat the stuff. Then they'd eat more than ever! But surely that would never happen, right?)
