Wow, I haven’t seen this movie in years! It’s a ghost movie
with Kevin Bacon. (How about a vegan remake with Kevin Fakin’?)
Well, in one scene in this movie, a ghost almost suffocates
him, and when he’s snapped out of it, he heads straight for the refrigerator
and chugs a Miller Lite (from a can). That’s great product placement! But where
are the Lite beer tie-in ads for the movie?
Yes, whenever ghosts try to smother you, reach for a Lite beer
from Miller! Miller is the ‘high life’ brand, and it will snap you back into
the land of the living, but without all those calories to weigh you down. When
you want to rise from the darkness, drink a Lite!
(Oh, by the way, this movie is based on a novel by Richard
Matheson called: “A Stir of Echos”. Why didn’t they use that title for the movie?
It works a lot better than just: “Stir of Echos”. But then again, Hollywood
constantly applies the “if it ain’t broke, break it anyway” method for their
adaptations. But not always… Some adaptations even improve on their source
material, like The Conjuring, and the
1976 version of Stephen King’s Carrie.)
