Frusenglädjéschadenfreude

That’s the happy feeling you get when someone else gets a lump of coal in their stocking for Christmas.

But you know what: I think I smell a new ad campaign slogan! (I just don’t know for what yet…)

Maybe a coal company can spin it so it seems positive in their ads, because wind and solar are not panning out so well, so you will covet the lump of coal to burn for heat and energy?

You know you want the lump of coal! Admit it already! (Cough, cough.)

(Of course, this term, Frusenglädjéschadenfreude, meaning essentially "frozen joy harm joy", or more accurately in English "frozen joy happy fail" is also the exhilarating feeling one gets when watching a figure skater fall during a competition.)
