The Doctor Who Discovered Ebola

CNN had an interview with the guy who discovered Ebola, according to them, but I have to cry foul here. The guy’s name is Dr. Peter Piot, and Ebola is not called “Piot”? Yeah, I don’t believe he discovered it, then.

Look, we all know the whole reason people go into medicine is so they can name diseases after themselves. This is a known fact. And yet, it is a misunderstood fact. You see, these doctors do not seek fame, but punishment.

Yes, you see, doctors, especially the ones who research and discover diseases, are never home to raise their own children, so the kids get out of hand with no authority figures, and they act out and embarrass their parents. And so, just to get revenge, the doctors name the diseases after their own last name just so their own children will be teased in school over their name being the same as some horrible disease that’s big news.

It’s true! (Okay, maybe it’s not true. But it could be true! Can you prove it isn’t?)
