Lost Another One To Ditech!

I just saw a commercial for a company called “CashCall”, and it had the same guy and the same tagline as that old ad for Ditech (!). Ditech is one of those companies that gave out a lot of sub-prime mortgages, and so a lot of those homes have been foreclosed on, apparently. So it looks like they’ve changed their company name in light of what’s happened. But they’ve left the ad campaign the same?! Aren’t people (like me) going to notice that the ad is the same schtick with the same guy, notice that there’s a new company name, and assume they did it because they ruined their last company name with their business practices? And then aren’t we going to think what idiots they are to remind everyone about their former iteration by using the same old ad campaign? And most of all, with that same “Lost another one to Ditech/CashCall” tagline, isn’t that going to set them up for the obvious joke ad where someone gets foreclosed on, and as they’re being forced out of their home by the Sheriff, they all say: “Lost another home to Ditech (now CashCall)!”?

Frankly, I’m surprised nobody else has done it yet. They’re practically begging for it!

Here’s one of those old Ditech ads (Sorry, the new CashCall ad isn’t up yet, but it’s that same guy, and the same tagline!):

And here is the Wikipedia page about Ditech:
