Dirty Dancing was a big hit movie, but when they did a sequel, it was with all new characters in a different setting, and it was like a low-rent retread of the same idea. But everyone really wanted to know what happened to the original characters, I’ll bet! Well, they didn’t make the movies, but based upon the title of the first movie, I think I can predict what the sequels would have been called, had they made them. It would have gone like this:
- Dirty Dancing
- Filthy Fornicating
- Premarital Pregnancy
- Whirlwind Wedding
- Miserable Marriage
- Dicey Divorce
- Caustic Child Custody Case
- Agonizing Alimony
- Deadbeat Dad
They would naturally have all maintained the alliterative movie titles, and the last of the series would return to the original “D. D.” initials of the first film.
Now wouldn’t you have loved to see them all? Well, they’re making a remake of the original Dirty Dancing, so it’s the perfect opportunity for them to make the whole series from the beginning with a new cast! You can write to the studio if you want them to make them all…
