MetLife Stadium

I didn’t realize until today that the new Meadowlands stadium was called the MetLife Stadium. That’s funny, because what does MetLife use in their advertising? Peanuts characters! So, if it’s called MetLife Stadium, don’t they owe it to everyone to put a big picture on the front of the stadium showing Lucy pulling the football away at the last moment, and Charlie Brown flying through the air after missing the kick? It's such an iconic Peanuts scene, and it's related to football, so I think they should have to do it! Then they could have whichever team has a better record’s jersey on Lucy, and Charlie Brown could be wearing the other team’s jersey. Or maybe Charlie Brown could always be wearing the Jets’ jersey, at least until they win another Super Bowl. (The Jets are getting pretty close lately, so maybe they’ll win one soon: here's hoping!) In fact, just to further antagonize the local fans to hate each other more, maybe they could have Lucy wear a Giants’ jersey, and Charlie Brown could wear the Jets’ jersey in the picture. Who knows: maybe it would inspire the Jets to greatness just to get rid of that picture! And since it involves a jersey-related insult, they could call it a “Jersey Cheer” (because the stadium is also in New Jersey!), and that could replace the “Bronx Cheer” for football.
