In this recent commercial for Taco Bell, a few guys walk
through a stadium tunnel (I guess), and the announcer helpfully tells us, among
other things, that “Nobody remembers the guy who brought cheese and crackers!”
But I feel like this statement is incomplete. How about adding: “But everyone will remember the guy who brought the tacos that
gave them all diarrhea at the party!” Because, after all, isn’t the selling
point about being remembered from a party? And when you think about it, what
could be more memorable than that? (But hey, at least it would help offset all
the cheese’s effects, from all the cheese and crackers everyone else brought, I
guess.)
Also, these Taco Bell ads keep raving about how awesome
their Doritos Locos Tacos are, and how popular they are, but this Variety 12
Pack only contains six of them (!). So won’t this start lots of fights at every
party, with all the inebriated revelers battling one another over who gets the
Doritos Locos Tacos while they last? (I guess everyone would remember that too, and who brought them, huh?)
Here’s the cheese & cracker calumniating commercial:
