As we all know, the winning coach of big football games get the “Gatorade Bath”, when their own team pours Gatorade & ice all over them in celebration. But do they really want the Gatorade Bath? I doubt it! And if not, then how do we know they’re not coaching half-assed in an attempt to avoid getting the Gatorade Bath?
I think there should be a new tradition to replace the old one: reward the winning coach by not dousing them in freezing cold sticky staining liquid, and punish the losing coach by giving them the Gatorade bath! Maybe then they will try a lot harder to win, so they can avoid getting the Gatorade Bath!
Hey, it’s just an idea, but you never know how much it might lead to a marked increase in football team performance. Plus, if the team loses, then they all get a Gatorade Bath from their cold, soaked coach, too! (And Gatorade ought to support this idea of mine for a new tradition for the Gatorade Bath, because if the whole losing team gets it poured on them one-by-one, think of how much extra Gatorade they’d sell!)
