We mostly all know the silly Skechers Super Bowl commercial where a guy wearing Skechers running shoes runs up and tackles a cheetah who was chasing a gazelle, and he ties the cheetah’s tail around its paws, essentially hog-tying it to save the gazelle. But what happens to the cheetah? With its paws all tied up, it either dies of starvation, dies from being eaten by other predators, or dies from embarrassment when other cheetahs see it and laugh at it. Oh, but then the cheetahs are going to feel a sense of damaged pride, and they’ll want revenge!
So how about this for the next Skechers ad for these shoes: The announcer tells us that the cheetahs have all bought the same Skechers shoes, and now they’re going to get revenge upon this guy who tied up the cheetah in the last ad. So we see the same scenario – at first – as we saw in the previous (Super Bowl) ad, where a cheetah is chasing a gazelle, and then that guy comes running up from behind the cheetah. Oh, but right before he can catch the cheetah, a group of like 3 or 4 cheetahs, all wearing the same Skechers shoes (two pairs each: one for each paw), come running up behind him, and they tackle him, and they tie him up with their tails. Then the first cheetah, the one that got tied up in the last ad, roars in his face. And then the announcer guy says that the Skechers makes anyone who wears them even faster than before.
And then maybe the next ad could show a drag race between two funny cars, and one of the cars has glued these Skecher running shoes all around their tires (so they completely surround each tire), and they win the drag race by a large margin.
