The Last Exorcism has
a sequel (they cheat by calling it The Last Exorcism Part II, which kind of
gets them out of the trouble they made for themselves with the name of the
first movie, but that’s cheating, so I’m referring to it by what it ought to be
called: The Last Exorcism 2), and
seeing as how it’s a movie about exorcism that takes place after The
Last Exorcism, the ads/trailers really
ought to clear up this discrepancy with a tagline like: “The Last
Exorcism 2: We thought the last exorcism
was the last exorcism, but
as it turns out, it was only one
of the last exorcisms, and it was just the last exorcism before this next
exorcism, which is either the last, or one of the last, exorcism(s)!” Or maybe:
“The Last Exorcism was just the
last exorcism for the last exorcist, and now this next last exorcism, The
Last Exorcism 2, is the last exorcism for
this next exorcist!” Or perhaps: “You thought the last exorcism in The
Last Exorcism was the last exorcism, but it wasn’t really the last exorcism…” (<I like this last one the best.)
