Apparently some online thing to raise funds for a Veronica
Mars movie raised the necessary funds in
one day. And that’s great, but since Veronica Mars was a high school sleuth, I think the movie should
be about Veronica Mars going to college. And what better thing to do with the
movie than to have some big crime happen on campus, and all the cable news
channels descend, with all their super-judgmental scandal-lawyer anchors, and
they all say some innocent person is guilty, but Veronica Mars figures out the
truth and discredits all the scandal-mongers on cable news. And for this, she’s
smeared in the press and can never get a job anywhere after graduation, setting
up the new movie: Veronica Mars: Private Eye! (And she can have all that combative smartass banter
with news people, like Sam Spade had with the police.)
