There are new allegations about Rob Ford’s drug use, now suggesting he may have tried heroin. Well, if I were his PR strategist, I would suggest he claim his doctor recommended he smoke crack and use heroin… for weight loss. He’s a big guy, and if he said everything else had failed to help him lose weight, maybe they’d let him slide. And then he could say his doctor recommended he try crystal meth next if the heroin and crack don’t work: then he’ll be covered for the inevitable next round of drug use allegations.
And for his big re-election issue, he could say he wants to decriminalize drugs: you know, just to prevent otherwise law-abiding citizens from wasting their lives in prison due to a simple mistake or character flaw. And then he could get high all he wants.
