MetLife Super Bowl Ad

This was a cute ad for the Super Bowl, with Schroeder playing the National Anthem on his little kid piano with the other Peanuts characters walking in, and the ad ending with: “Game on.”

But seeing as how there is a very well-known football scenario with the Peanuts, I was hoping they would end the game with an ad featuring Charlie Brown in a Broncos jersey running up and having the football yanked away at the last moment by Lucy wearing a Seahawks jersey, sending Charlie Brown flying through the air and falling onto his back. That would have represented the game pretty accurately. And had they made two versions of the ad, switching up the jerseys, they could have waited to see who won, and then played the appropriate ad.

I think that would have been fun. But then again, it might have upset the Denver fans, and ads are not generally intended to upset potential customers.
