This is the ad where some guy beats himself up and breaks all his furniture and stuff just because he wants to turn the air conditioner on. He says he’s sweating, but naturally he would be, after all the exertion of the self-assault he’s committing! If he’d just not attack himself so vigorously, perhaps he wouldn’t need to turn on the air conditioner. But perhaps that is considered cheating.
This commercial is funny, because this is exactly what some environmentalists secretly would like to do to anyone who uses what they consider to be “too much” energy. But what this ad fails to mention is that they’re going to want to beat you up anyway, even if you buy this Mitsubishi system, because you’ll still be using energy, which is killing the planet! You Earth-murderer, you! We’re all going to die in rising oceans thanks to you, you selfish, evil person! (Here’s hoping this ad doesn’t give the Earth-Firsters any ideas!)
Oh, and I think that hole in the wall is going to cost a lot more than the energy bill to fix, not to mention all the destroyed furniture he’s going to have to replace! But hey: At least that will put some extra money into the economy and create jobs! Right? So maybe it’s not so bad after all!
