Is it just me, or does it seem a bit insultingly ironic for the hurricane people to name a storm likely to hit Mexico “Dora”, seeing as how everybody knows about the cartoon character “Dora the Explorer”, and after many comedy shows have used her as an allegory for issues regarding Mexico? Doesn’t it seem as though they are making light of this? They were probably hoping to be able to refer to the irony of Dora destroying Mexico, or looking forward to referring to the storm as “Dora the Destroyer”. Let’s ask Daniel Tosh: “Is it racist?” Maybe he’ll do a special segment on it.
