Sea Salt

Lots of food companies are touting the use of “sea salt” on/in their foods, like it’s some great, organic health-food ingredient. But is this really such a good idea? I mean, after all, “sea salt” is just evaporated fish piss and stuff, right?* So what’s so great about that? I wouldn’t be so quick to brag about that if I were them!

Perhaps to play-up the “from-the-sea” angle of this type of salt, companies should try to brand their product to emphasize its fish-excrement-containment properties. So maybe they could name the sea salt brands things like: “Pesci Numero Uno Sea Salt”, “CP’s Sea Salt”, “C. Escraman’s Sel de la Mer”, “Merde de la Mer Sea Salt”, etc. Sound like a good idea?

* (That’s right: The food police is force-feeding you fish excrement to punish you! And sea salt isn't even iodized! {It is, however, murcurized, I think.})
