This commercial for the Ford Escape begins with the
announcer saying: “Ever ask anyone to lend you a foot? Who thinks about stuff like that?” And then he goes
on to say that a Ford engineer lived on two continents, blah, blah, to explain
it. But I think we all get it: He has a foot fetish! Why not just admit it? (Or
will we then start to wonder about what the engineer was thinking when they
made the seat heated and so easy to recline, or why the shifter is shaped the
way it is?)
