CNN is reporting that Sochi is not ready for the Olympics that open on Friday, citing uncompleted projects and hotels, as well as unusable tap water and some other unsavory details. President Putin reportedly blamed gay people for the unreadiness, saying that if only gay people did not choose to be born gay, he wouldn't be forced against his will to spend so much time and resources repressing them, and more focus could have been devoted to getting Sochi ready for the Olympics. But maybe Putin is just trying to scuttle the Olympics because he realized how many men will be looking macho at the games, and that these toned, fit athletes may look better without shirts on than he does, which cannot be tolerated!
