Inconveniencists?

Someone on cable news was recently making the point that terrorists may not be even trying to make deadly attacks anymore, so much as trying to just disrupt our free society to the point where we have no freedom left, and we all have to stand around forever in long lines and get frisked and cavity-searched and have toddlers molested at the airport and such. So basically, they’re trying to seriously inconvenience everybody, and make things generally disagreeable, in which case, perhaps they’ve become “inconveniencists”. Is it possible?

So this made me wonder: Did the terrorists see the cover of the Dead Kennedy’s compilation album: Give Me Convenience or Give Me Death, and take it really seriously? Perhaps they think that for Americans, inconvenience would be even worse than death, and so a much better terrorist goal after all! And clearly for some Americans, based upon their response to the added security measures, they would clearly seem to prefer death to the inconvenience. And so perhaps, the terrorists win after all, like the Republicans have been wont to say.
