Superb Owl
This week, The Colbert Report got around the NFL's ridiculous assertion that nobody else can even say Super Bowl without their permission by referring to it as the "Superb Owl". (It's especially silly when you consider that anytime anyone says Super Bowl on TV or in an ad, it's free advertising for the game and the NFL brand, but whatever…) Lots of people I know used to call it the Superb Owl growing up because it's so silly, but it wasn't until I saw it on TV that it struck me that it would make a good nature show for NatGeo or Animal Planet for Superb Owl Sunday, where it's essentially like a Miss America-type pageant for all different types of owls, especially endangered ones. The show could teach us all about all the different types of owls, show us where they're from, how they live, etc., and it could be quite educational. And I'll bet animal lovers would love it, especially if they're not football fans.
