When I was working on a sitcom a few years back, people were talking about how, soon, the technology would allow people to simply click a cursor over something on the show (like a table, a piece of clothing, etc.), price it, and buy it with the click of a remote. Well, I’m proud to say that today, finally, I have seen this technology just put to use here on the internet, and in the most inappropriate-ever situation, to boot! Seriously, I couldn’t have dreamed-up a sillier, stupider way of doing this, even for a comedy bit, so seriously: Thank you, whoever did this!
Okay, here it is (It’s the first picture, with Anne Hathaway looking absolutely beautiful in a gorgeous gown that the writer of this insulting, tacky, below-the-belt column “What were they thinking?”, which insults people’s style choices, claims is ugly. But I will give the author this much credit: they did say: “Is it just me?”, even if they didn’t have enough guts or class to let us know who “me” is. {Oh, and I think it is just you, mr./ms. fashionista wannabe.}):
So this is truly funny, the fact that they would install this technological marvel to allow you to purchase the parts of this outfit directly off of the picture in this “What were they thinking?” piece that clearly insults the outfit and anyone who might want to wear any part of it! How awesome is that? Hey, as much as people always like to bash capitalism, at least it has a sense of humor (and irony)!
(BTW: I must say that it is classless of Yahoo! OMG to take this web page down! This was totally funny, and that's more than I can say for them, usually! I was hoping they'd keep it up forever, and I thought they usually did.)
