On CNN today, they were bemoaning the loss of the space shuttle program, and some astronaut guy was saying: “You can’t have the space station without the space shuttle.” But, I thought they were sold separately! In fact, I’m pretty sure you can have the space station without the space shuttle now, seeing as how they’re retiring it! And wait: are they selling them? I mean, I know we’re in a financial crisis, but, sheesh! Do we really want to sell them to Bond villain-types who would use them to destroy or rule the world, when we don’t even have anything to fight them with anymore? That seems like a bad plan to me! But maybe that’s why I’m a civilian: I don’t know all this sensitive space agency stuff, so I don’t even know what I’m talking about. The only thing that worries me is: they might not, either!
